- Yosemite! The Bridgeport area is a great jumping-off point for a day trip to Yosemite. Avoid the long lines, traffic and exorbitant prices by staying here, booking your trip online, and parking your vehicle to take the official park tour bus.

There are many annual and seasonal events to enjoy in and around Bridgeport. During our spring-through-fall season, here are a few you might want to participate in:
April
Last Saturday of month, fishing season opens. In Bridgeport, this is akin to a religious holiday!
May
Mono County Museum opens—always some new exhibit or display to check out!
Last weekend of the month – Memorial Day Weekend officially starts high season here.
June

July 4th – You don’t want to miss our annual Independence Day Celebration, a three-day event done up in small town style! It starts with a parade commemorating the brave pioneers that first settled our area, followed by a grand street fair with arts & crafts displays, a cowboy poetry slam, concerts, a dance, sports competitions, and winding up with our famous lakeside fireworks display! In between, the International Professional Rodeo Association-sanctioned rodeo bucks and snorts through two days with big competitions: • Bull Riding • Barrel Racing • Saddleback Riding • Steer Wrestling • Team Roping • Rodeo Clowning
